Individual Coaching
Research shows that the best predictor of a successful leader is not actually intellectual intelligence, but rather emotional intelligence. Business acumen, strategic thinking, and management skills are essential, but it is emotional intelligence that distinguishes exceptional leaders from the rest.
By providing real time feedback and guidance, we help executives develop the four competencies of emotional intelligence:
- Self-awareness: A deep understanding your own feelings, emotions, drives, and moods, and an awareness for how they impact other people and your response to any given situation.
- Self-management: The ability to control or manage emotions, impulses, and moods. This competency also includes traits such as adaptability, taking initiative, and optimism.
- Social Skill: The ability to recognize and understand the emotional make-up of other people and to relate to them skillfully based on their emotional make-up; an awareness for the organizational culture including organizational politics, social networks, informal authority structures.
- Relationship Management: The ability to inspire and influence people, to build and maintain relationships, to deal effectively with conflict, to find common ground and build rapport, and to create a collaborative environment.
We use an integral approach to coaching, taking into account all of the dynamics - behavioral, relational/social, physical, and environmental/technological - that make us whole human beings.
